Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-25

This policy explains how Vibwife AG processes personal data when you visit www.vibwife.com or contact us through the website. We follow Swiss data protection law (revDSG, in force since 1 September 2023) and, where applicable to visitors from the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we process

When you browse the site

  • Server logs. IP address (temporarily), user-agent string, referrer, and request path are collected by our hosting provider for security, abuse prevention, and error analysis. Logs are rotated automatically and are not used for profiling.
  • Anonymous analytics. We use Umami, self-hosted on our own infrastructure, to understand aggregate site usage. Umami records the page path, referrer source, browser + device class, screen size, and country derived from the IP address. No cookies are set. The full IP address is not stored. No personal identifiers and no fingerprinting are used.

When you submit a demo request, share form, or contact us

  • Required: hospital name, your first and last name, email address.
  • Optional: your role, the email and phone number of a manager you want copied in.
  • Context, captured automatically: the stakeholder group selected (Parents / Caregivers / Hospital Leadership / Obstetricians), source page, campaign attribution parameters from the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), your browser language, and the country of the hospital you selected.

We use this data only to follow up with you about your inquiry and to understand which campaigns and pages reach which stakeholders. We do not sell or rent it.

3. Legal basis for processing

  • Lead form data: pre-contractual measures and your consent at the moment of submission (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR; corresponding provisions of the Swiss revDSG).
  • Server logs: legitimate interest in network security and abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Anonymous analytics: legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage. The data is anonymous; under both revDSG and GDPR no consent banner is required.

4. Data processors (Auftragsverarbeiter)

We use the following processors. Where the recipient is in a country outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where applicable, the EU–US and Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Retention

  • Server logs: up to 14 days, then rotated.
  • Lead form submissions: for as long as your inquiry remains open, plus up to 24 months of follow-up. After that, records are archived and deleted on request.
  • Analytics: aggregated indefinitely. The data contains no individual identifiers, so individual deletion is not technically possible.

6. Your rights

Under revDSG and GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where the processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (EDÖB); in the EU it is your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@vibwife.com. We will reply within 30 days.

7. Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. The only data the site stores in your browser is what is strictly necessary to operate it (for example, form input as you type). Nothing is shared with advertising networks.

8. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website evolves, processors change, or the legal landscape moves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Substantive changes that affect existing users will be communicated by email where appropriate.
