Movement support, even when you can't be at the bedside

Vibwife is a Swiss-based birth mobility system, invented by Anna, a midwife who couldn't move every mother the way she wanted. It enables continuous, gentle movement built into the birthing bed - so every mother has the support she needs, and every caregiver the tools to provide it.

You know movement helps. The busy shift makes it hard.

As a caregiver, you know how important movement is during birth. It supports progress, creates space, and helps women stay connected to their bodies. In practice, it's hard to maintain: monitoring, epidurals, fatigue, and routines often lead to more time in bed. Supporting movement requires time and physical effort which isn't always available. Vibwife integrates gentle movement directly into the birthing bed - so movement continues even when you have to leave the bedside.

Midwifery-inspired techniques in the birthing bed

Vibwife is integrated into the birthing bed and delivers gentle, rhythmic movement at the pelvis — controlled by the woman or by you, depending on the situation. Four movement patterns inspired by midwifery techniques, working across positions and birth stages. Compatible with CTG, epidural, and standard monitoring. For you, that means fewer manual repositionings and less physical strain across long shifts — while mother and birth companion stay actively engaged.

What caregivers say about Vibwife

Vibwife supports movements our nurses already use every day — but in a more continuous and integrated way. I'm excited to see its impact on labor progression, cesarean rates, and patient experience. Most importantly, our nurses are genuinely excited about it.
